How to handle Oily Hair

Every hair has its pros and cons. Oily hair happens to be one of the common problems. With the common problem there are common solutions which, used wisely can be very helpful for all the people with oily hair. One of the things which can be done to remove the oil from your hair is to eat healthy food. Food which is healthy and nutritious such as vegetables, fruits, sprouts, lentils, pulses all taken in right proportion can be very helpful. Junk food such as fries, burgers, hot dogs and many more just keep on adding more oil to body and hair.

Everyone likes to have shiny, bouncy hair and this may seem a difficult task with oily hair. So beside the above food intake, here are a few tips on how to manage oily hair.
  • Do not wash your hair everyday. If your hair is clean your glands will secrete more oil. Use a cleaning shampoo to wash your hair and to scrub off the oil build up. Use a mild shampoo and scrub lightly.
  • While applying conditioner, do not apply to the roots only apply in the middle or to the ends.
  • Beside reduce the oil intake in your diet and avoid oily food. Eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid drugs, alcohol and oils.
  • You should consider changing your shampoo. Ask your stylist what you should use. Avoid using the two-in-one shampoos with conditioner.

Here is another traditional remedy for you to consider, but I personally don't have any feedback on the results. Perhaps you can share with us if you have try this.
  • Have a mixture of mild vinegar and water in the ratio of 1:1. Use this water to rinse away the excess oil from your scalp. While applying this solution let it settle for some time making it more effective. This way the solution can work better in helping you remove the oil.
